Supervision

Supervision

Clinical Supervision is one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling parts of my work. Over more than 15 years as a Board-Approved Supervisor, I've had the privilege of walking alongside psychologists at every stage of their careers — from Masters placements and internship programs through to clinical endorsement and beyond. That experience has given me a deep appreciation for the diverse settings in which psychologists practice — public, not-for-profit, and private — and the distinct pressures that come with each. Having worked across both metropolitan and regional South-East Queensland, and consulted with the Australian Psychological Society's Professional Advisory Service on complex issues in professional practice, I bring a breadth of perspective that I think genuinely enriches the supervision relationship. My clinical work and teaching are grounded in evidence-based and process-based approaches, and I have particular depth in men's mental health, fathering, and child and adolescent presentations. What I Offer Individual SupervisionTailored, one-on-one supervision for psychologists at all career stages. Whether you're working toward registration or endorsement, navigating a complex caseload, or looking for a reflective space to sustain your practice long-term — I'm here for that. Most supervisees hold a regular monthly session, but I'm also available for intermittent consultation if you prefer flexibility. Group SupervisionA collegial, structured space for shared learning and constructive feedback — particularly valuable if you're pursuing clinical endorsement or working in a context where you don't have easy access to peers. Many participants find group supervision one of the most rewarding parts of their professional development. It's also a cost-effective complement to individual supervision. ConsultationI also provide consultation to registered psychologists and other mental health professionals on specific clinical or professional practice issues. A Focus on You, Not Just Your Clients One of the things I care most about in supervision is the wellbeing of the practitioner — not just the quality of the clinical work. Psychologists give a lot. Vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout are real, and they deserve more than a passing mention in supervision. I'm genuinely committed to helping you build a career that is sustainable, professionally fulfilling, and grounded in evidence-based practice. If you're looking for a supervisor who takes your development and your wellbeing seriously, I'd welcome the conversation. All supervision and consultation is available online via Zoom, making it accessible to psychologists across Australia and internationally. Training and Speaking Engagements

I love presenting. It's one of the parts of my work where everything comes together — clinical experience, research, teaching, and the energy of a room full of people who care about what they do.
Over the years I've presented to a wide range of audiences — psychologists and allied health professionals, educators, community organisations, and workplaces — on topics spanning mental health and wellbeing, professional resilience, communication, fatherhood, and relationships. I aim to make every session evidence-based, practically useful, and genuinely engaging. If people leave with something they can use on Monday morning, I've done my job. - Popular Workshops -
Managing the Hazards: A Prevention-Based Program for Health Professionals A proactive approach to reducing the impacts of vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout. This workshop is designed for professionals who give a lot to others — and need practical strategies to sustain themselves.
Group Work: How to Run Successful Group Programs A hands-on workshop exploring how to design, facilitate, and evaluate effective group interventions. Ideal for practitioners who want to offer group programs but aren't sure where to start — or who want to sharpen what they're already doing.
Men in Therapy: Psychological Interventions for Men's Mental Health An evidence-informed training focused on gender-responsive approaches to engaging and supporting men in therapeutic settings. This one consistently generates rich discussion. - Organisational & Tailored Training -
I also work with organisations on planning and strategy days, team development, and customised training programs designed around the specific needs of a workplace or professional group. If you have a topic or a challenge in mind, I'm happy to have a conversation about what might be useful.Keynote Speaking
I'm available as a keynote speaker on topics including men's mental health, fatherhood, healthy relationships, and work–family integration. My talks draw on clinical expertise and research, but they're grounded in real stories and practical wisdom. I want people to leave feeling both informed and genuinely moved to do something with what they've heard.
